Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Marianna Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Since its chartering on February 17, 1979, “MAAC” has stood as a beacon of service, sisterhood, and strength in the community. Founded by eighteen (18) accomplished, forward-thinking women, this chapter was built on a shared commitment to create lasting impact where it matters most. Their vision echoes the courage of the twenty-two (22) trailblazing Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., who in 1913 set a powerful standard for advocacy and public service that continues to guide our work today.

Throughout the years, MAAC has cultivated meaningful connections and delivered programs that uplift, empower, and inspire. Our efforts have included voter registration drives amplifying civic engagement, our annual Baccalaureate Ceremony honoring graduating high school seniors, and signature events such as the Arts and Letters Committee Presents: Painting, Poetry, and Panache, and MAAC’s Unsung Hero Awards Gala for outstanding community leaders. Each initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to meeting needs and creating opportunities.

This work is only possible because of the continued support and partnership of individuals like you. Together, we are building something greater than ourselves.

As we look ahead, MAAC is energized, focused, and ready to expand our reach. We remain dedicated to leading with intention, showing up with excellence, and serving with compassion...both within our community and beyond.

Our work is anchored in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical and Mental Health & Wellness, and Political Awareness and Involvement. These pillars are not simply areas of focus, they are the driving force behind meaningful, measurable change across Marianna, the surrounding communities, the State of Arkansas, and far beyond.
